Her local Starbucks closed (which she only went to because it was a five minute walk from campus), and she's decided to branch out and find somewhere where she can cram for exams in addition to getting a steady supply of caffeine and snacks.

Food Blogger + Content CreatorLucia is a full-time food blogger and content creator. She's partnered with big names such as the Food Network and Condé Nast. She reluctantly goes to larger, nationwide chains when convenient, but her true love is for small, local shops. She's recently moved to New York and is looking for a new café to work from, and potentially film some content.

Just as the bubbles in a perfectly poured glass of sparkling drink bring a delightful sparkle, the "bubbly" at Tea and Toast signifies the uplifting and positive interactions that take place within our cozy space. It's a reminder that life's simple pleasures – like a delightful breakfast and a welcoming environment – can create a sense of effervescence that lifts spirits and leaves lasting memories.

The moment you step through our doors, you'll notice the abundance of natural light that fills the café, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. As two people from two very different cultures and backgrounds in addition to two different senses of style, rather than attempting to create one cohesive look, Jasmine and Kennedy decided to go for a more Kitschy feel. Our interpretation of "kitsch" is not about overindulgence or excessive sentimentality, but rather a thoughtful curation of pieces that create a cozy and inviting environment. It's about finding beauty and joy in the unconventional, creating an atmosphere that encourages smiles, laughter, and a sense of wonder.

Final Remarks
Here’s What Happened
This project was a wild ride. I initially finished it October 2023 are a 2-week sprint, but hesitated on putting it up. I went on to create earthy delite when I realized my issue. While I had completed it in a quick turnaround, I didn’t really enjoyed the process or even the final outcome. So excluding the original prompt and my research, I dumped everything and had a second go at creating the branding for Tea & Toast.
Not only enjoyed the process much more this round, but made something I was happy to show on my website
Here’s What Really Happened
I actually found this brief on an Instagram account I follow and decided to try it. While I don't think I'm at the point where I'm going to create an Instagram account for my work, nor submit my design to these challenges, I want to try designing for a prompt that I either didn't create myself, or don't cater to my previous experiences.
I’ve learned to appreciate challenges like this since they force you to focus in on what information you’re given instead of creating your own.
Takeaways
As a designer, it’s highlighted over and over again how much speed is a valuable tool. However, I think that being able to quickly run through a design, does not necessarily mean that it’s a great, or even good design.
